The Cairns Cup 2024, Disability Golf’s Premier MatchPlay event, has partnered with popular golf society platform, The Social Golfer.
The international golf event played between the USA and Europe chose The Social Golfer as the offical Handicap Tracking provider. This means the players are all using one uniform platform in the run-up to the Michigan 2024 tournament.
Furthermore, they have also chosen event management software, Golf Genius, for use at all their future tournamnets and fundraising events.
The Social Golfer is provides Handicap Tracking to its members, useing the rules outlined by the USGA and R&A.
They currently have more than 15K registered users worldwide.
Kevin Booth Vice President and former European Captain commenting on his decision to use The Social Golfer Handicap system said;
“We have had a close working relationship with The Social Golfer for several years and believe their new Handicap Tracker to be as good as any in the world.”
He went on to say; “We looked at several options, but we were impressed with The Social Golfer’s newly relaunched Handicapping system. The Social Golfer platform allows you to enter scorecards from anywhere in the world. Other handicapping systems restrict you to only accepting scorecards from you home country. In addition, we loved the option to set up your own team pages and keep all the players’ scores in one place.”
Speaking about the Golf Genius partnership, John Bell Vice President said:
“Golf Genius is well known in the United States as a superb provider of Live Event Scoring. As such, we are very excited to have a brand like of their standing to be involved with the bi-annual golf match.”
Aditionally, he later said: “I have no doubts the Golf Genius management system will add both excitement and professionalism to all our events going forward!”.
The Golf Genius Software also allows for sharing Live Leaderboard across your website and social media. Consequently, this means supporters and sponsors can follow the event from anywhere in the world. The team believes this will also complment the Live TV broadcast via social media channel partner LIVESportNow.
