Make New Friends, Play More Golf
Golf Vouchers Online (GVO) is a central hub for golf gift vouchers across the UK. Rather than golfers (or their loved ones) having to search Google for individual club websites, Golf Vouchers Online has everything you need in one place.
It’s the UK’s first platform dedicated to promoting golf gift vouchers at golf courses – organised by region for ease of browsing – with the opportunity to become a valuable resource for golfers and their loved ones.
We asked Darren Redwood from Your Golf Marketing to review the website for us…
I am always looking at new golf businesses and the advertising opportunities they offer, so I was delighted to be asked to review this website. So, let’s start with a few stats!
The UK gift voucher market is now worth over £7 billion annually – and growing.
However, while consumers love the flexibility, ease, and experience-based nature of vouchers, up until now, the buying process has always been fragmented in the golf industry.
If you’re a golf club, the chances are you offer gift vouchers, but are they easy to find?
Most golf club marketing targets the golfer; however, golf gift vouchers are usually bought by a golfer’s partner, family member, or friend, and these buyers may not be familiar with club websites or even the terminology. Trying to target these people can be very difficult.
In my view, Golf Vouchers Online has been designed with them in mind.
A single site. Easy-to-understand categories. Clear descriptions. Filtered by location.
So, when someone Googles “golf gift voucher in Surrey”, GVO aims to be the top result.
Right now, there are more than 250 golf clubs already listed on the website.
That’s a strong start, but it’s only scratching the surface of the golf clubs in the UK. And with over 2,000 golf clubs in the UK, the platform has major growth potential.
And while GVO currently directs customers to the club’s own site to complete the purchase, the next phase will allow vouchers to be bought directly on the platform.
That means fewer clicks, more conversions, and higher revenue potential for clubs. It also opens the door to promotional offers and campaigns – seasonal bundles, multi-course deals, and even cross-promotion with hotels and spas.
This isn’t just a listings site; it has the potential to be the premier golf voucher portal in the UK.
When you land on the site, it’s clear that GVO was created by people in the golf industry, it’s clean, easy to navigate, and not full of unwanted information and details. Just a few clicks and you have found what you are looking for.
That’s what sparked the idea: if clubs are already selling vouchers, why not bring them together on one platform, purpose-built for discovery and gifting?
But the concept isn’t designed to reinvent the golf voucher. It’s to improve how it’s marketed, found and sold.
Plenty of people buy Virgin Experience or Red Letter Day vouchers.
But these platforms often focus on volume and margin, not niche quality.
I believe Golf Vouchers Online is different. e.g., You are not searching amongst spa days or skydiving, just golf green fee offers.
But with better visibility, smarter SEO, and a platform made for gifting golf.
Golf Vouchers Online is still in its early stages – but the model makes sense.
It solves a clear problem, targets an overlooked buyer group, and opens new revenue streams for clubs without extra admin.
If you run a golf club, shop, or coaching business, it’s worth getting involved now.
If you are a golfer or know one, tell them about this site.
With search trends increasing for golf gifts, and consumer appetite for vouchers at an all-time high, GVO is well-positioned to become a go-to platform in the golf space!
